Current Ratings

The Soliton1 has undergone extensive testing to establish its current ratings. With no liquid cooling, the controller can withstand 15-20 seconds of 1000A current before temperature derating begins. With liquid cooling (1-2 gpm flow), the controller can deliver 1000A indefinitely.

External Dimensions: 19.8"x 8.0"x 5.8"

Weight: 33lbs (15kg)

Web Browser Interface

No additional software or hardware is required to "talk" to the Soliton. Using a common ethernet cable and a web browser (internet connection not required) the controller's maximum voltage and current can be set. It is also a great tool for visually monitoring performance in real time.

Liquid Cooling

On the controller's side are two 1/8-27 NPTF ports for liquid cooling. The controller can be run without liquid cooling for a short time at high current. For longer periods, liquid cooling is required. Two brass fittings are shipped with the controller with barbs for 1/4 ID hose. We sell a custom cooling kit on the cooling page.

Data Logging & Upgrades

Data is continously streamed from the controller to its Ethernet port in 100 millisecond intervals. With the datalogging software (free) on this page, the data can be viewed. Future upgrades to the controller (firmware updates, etc.) can also be sent through this port.

Throttle

The Soliton1 accepts both a Hall Effect and a pot-box style throttle. The Hall Effect (HEPA) throttle can be found on this page. The Curtis PB-6 throttle will NOT work as a pot box without some modifications. Instructions for making this modification are in the Owner's Manual.

Rugged Construction

This controller was built to last a lifetime! With its all aluminum casing, the controller circuitry is unharmed by minor dents and dings. Plus, every controller is dyno-tested by EVnetics before it ever leaves the warehouse to ensure every every customer gets a quality, dependable product.
